Mike Hart Biography

Mike Hart is an American anchor and reporter at 23 ABC News. He joined 23 ABC News TV in May 1991 and serves as a weekend sportscaster. He has worked his way up through the ranks to his current position as 23ABC’s morning show anchor.

Hart is currently working at 23ABC where he serves as a weekend sportscaster. The excitement of anchoring the desk, working on the special reports, and live shots are the climax of his job. He wrote, produced, edited, and, anchored 23 ABC’s one-hour special report on the 50th anniversary of the Kern County earthquake entitled, ”On Shaky Ground.”

He shares his kindness for the Sun Devils, together with his father’s alma mater, Notre Dame. He moved to Bakersfield in May 1991. His family is very active in Arabian horse shows with many horses in training. Bonfire and Pikasso have been the only two horses to bring home a U.S. National Championship and U.S. Sport Horse Championship.

In 1982, he attended Arizona State University where he graduated in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism. During his free time, he enjoys being a PA voice of the Bakersfield Condors. Since 1992, he has been a boxing ring announcer. He has appeared on ESPN, Fox Sports, and, Showtimes in shows across the country, from the Stockyards in Austin, TX to the Playboy Mansion, in Beverly.

He looks for time to belt out a few tunes with his swing bands, Chesterfield King and the Sultans of swing.
