In 2015 Mayo was regularly playing the role of Lacey Briggs, the daughter of Hap Briggs, the oil tycoon in ABC’s prime-time soap opera Blood & Oil (Don Johnson). She also appeared the same year during the second season of the series True Detective in HBO Anthology and was cast as a love interest of Joshua Jackson’s new character in the recurring role of The Affair drama series, but left The Affair because of her contractual obligations for Blood & Oil. She joined the Chicago Fire cast in 2016 with Stella Kidd, the new gunman.
