Zouves joined the University of Southern California’sAnnenberg School for Communication and Journalism after high school. She graduated magna cum laude with a double major in Broadcast Journalism and Health Promotion & Disease Prevention.

Zouves previously worked for NewsNation as a network anchor and investigative reporter. After leaving the network, she started publishing a Substack newsletter. In 2025, she earned the News & Documentary Emmy Award for Outstanding Emerging Journalist. She also won a 2025 National Edward R. Murrow Award for Excellence in Video for her investigative report, Growing Broke: Forever Chemicals in America’s Heartland. Zouves has covered secret human experiments conducted by the government in St. Louis, Area 51 veterans succumbing to cancer as the Pentagon denies they were ever there, and an undercover U.S. informant who sneaked in cartels and helped free over 200 women and children from sex trafficking.
Besides her journalism work, Zouves is involved in the community. She has participated and served as an MC in numerous events, such as kicking off the March of Dimes March for Babies walk in San Francisco. Also, she was the MC for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night event in San Francisco, which collected over $2 million to find a cure for blood cancer. She has also been heavily involved with the Special Olympics, emceeing several events.
Early career;
Zouves anchored and reported for KGTV 10News-ABC in San Diego from 2013 to late in the summer of 2015. She moved to San Francisco in July 2015, where she anchored and reported for KGO-ABC7 News. She began anchoring the morning show with Reggie Aqui in December 2025.
Besides anchoring the news, Zouves reported on stories like the housing crisis’s effect on domestic violence survivors’ ability to leave their abusers. She shed light on stories of resilience, linking two men who jumped from the Golden Gate Bridge and survived. She received two Emmy Awards for her work in San Francisco. In September 2019, she left ABC7 News for the John S. Knight Fellowship at Stanford University.
