Nicholas Herboso Biography
Nicholas Herboso is an American meteorologist working for FOX10 News as a meteorologist. He joined the station full-time in May 2023, after serving the station as an on-air weather intern for 6 months prior.

Herboso joined the University of South Alabama in 2019 after finishing his high school education. In 2023, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology with a minor in Music. During college, he won several departmental awards. Also, he worked closely with WKRG’s team of meteorologists during their daily activities at the station.
Nicholas Herboso Career
Herboso works for FOX10 News as a meteorologist. His motivation to pursue weather broadcasting as a career after living through several hurricanes on the Gulf Coast and watching the broadcasts from local meteorologists, such as John Edd Thompson, especially after he watched their coverage of the hurricane seasons in 2004 and 2005. His early interest in the weather was sparked by past extreme weather events.
Besides his passion for the weather, Herboso is a true lover of music. He used to be in the J. Larry Newton School band, where he started as a trombone player. He played in several ensembles throughout his schooling, leading to his tenure as bass trombonist for the University of South Alabama Wind Ensemble. Also, he found a passion for the marching arts, which led him to work as a drum major for the University of South Alabama Jaguar Marching Band, the Fairhope High School Band, as well as outside of school with the Southern Knights Drum and Bugle Corps.
Herboso marched in Drum Corps Associates and Drum Corps International for three seasons. He spent two of those seasons marching baritone and euphonium at Southwind Drum and Bugle Corps. Music has played a significant part in his life and he hopes to continue his passion by playing in local ensembles.
