Pat Bolland Biography

Pat Bolland is an American Consultant/Coach/Television Personality/Host best known for his time at BNN where he served the station as a longtime presenter on Canada’s Financial News Network. Bolland now hosts “The Just Word” podcasts which cover topics within finance, investing, and business. He joined the BNN team in 2004 as an anchor for Market Morning Day with Pat Bolland at different times.

Bolland worked with BNN News where he served the station as a Presenter/Host. He happens to be the former host of Canada’s financial news network, Business News Network(BNN) where he has held roles such as being the host of Trading Day with Pat Bolland, Marketing Morning. His last day on-air at BNN was the 16th f July 2010.

Previously, he also worked with Sun News Network and he joined the station during its inception in 2011 serving the station as a co-host of The Roundtable- the network’s morning show. There, he was hosting the show alongside Alex Pierson and Andrea Slobodian and he remained with the channel until its closure on the 13th of February 2015. The last of his item to be broadcast before the channel ceased broadcasting was a promo for his Sunday News program, Straight Talk with Pat Bolland.

Prior to joining BNN, he was working with CNBC where he was serving the station as an on-air editor. While there, he was launching after-hours coverage in 1999 and moved to morning programs later. Additionally, he served the station in a variety of roles and hosted or co-hosted several shows and segments at CNBC.

Prior to that, he served several roles at CBC which include hosting CBC Morning and being the business editor of then-CBC Newsworld(now CBC News Network) Asides from that, he created and hosted Investors On-Line, a nationally syndicated TV show. She has also hosted Canada’s Business Report, a daily radio show; and also wrote an investment column for America Online.

Prior to becoming a broadcaster, he had spent a decade in the Canadian investment industry, where he started as a phone clerk on the TSX at McLeod, Young, Weir rose to Vice President, Institutional Trading at Scotia McLeod. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute. Asides from that, he has appeared on Corner Gas and Made in Canada.
