Patrick attended Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States where he met his wife. In 1995, he graduated from Columbia University’s medical school. He is a surgeon at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, Pasquerilla Healthcare Center, and is an associate professor of surgery at Georgetown University, which are all in Washington, D.C.
