Paul Williams is an American meteorologist working for WRDE NBC Coast as the chief meteorologist since joining the station in August 2019. His forecasts appear on CoastTV at 5, 6, and 11 p.m. Previously, he worked for Noticias Telemundo Communications as the chief meteorologist for nearly 5 years.
Paul Williams Education
Williams joined Jackson State University in 1985 when he finished his high school education. In 1989, he graduated with a Bachelor Of Science degree in Mass Communications. While there, he was involved with the student government association, SWAC Tennis Team, Omega Psi Phi fraternity, and the church of Christ.
In 1991, he rejoined Jackson State University and later graduated with a Bachelor Of Science degree in Meteorology and Physics. During this time, he worked as a full-time member of the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Bible and Counseling from Magnolia Bible College.

Previously, he worked for Noticias Telemundo Communications as the chief meteorologist for nearly 5 years. Before that, he worked for AccuWeather in State College as a senior meteorologist. There, he spearheaded broadcasts for the network across over 60 markets including ABC’s World News Now. He also worked for LOCAL 24 in Memphis, Tennessee as the chief meteorologist.
Williams worked for WLBT 3 News in Jackson, Mississippi from 1999 to 2014. There, he broadcasted the disastrous Hurricane Katrina. he also worked for FOX61 in Hartford, Connecticut as the chief meteorologist in the late 90s.
Williams has worked for KSDK as a weekend morning meteorologist. During his time there, he reported notable flooding occasions in the early ’90s. He serves as an advocate and spokesperson for the American Heart Association and prostate cancer awareness.
