Paula Ebben is an American Emmy award-winning reporter and anchor working for WBZ-TV serving as anchor and reporter. Previously, she served as a reporter and anchor at New England Cable News.

Ebben went to school at Notre Dame Academy in Worcester in 1981, finishing in 1985. After that, she joined Boston College where she graduated cum laud with a Bachelor of Arts in English in 1989. While there, she was an active member of the Boston College Dramatics Society and the University Chorale of Boston College.

Ebben serves as an anchor and reporter at WBZ-TV, the CBS affiliate in Boston, Massachatus. She also serves as a co-anchor at 5:30 p.m. and noon, covering news across all platforms such as WBZ-TV News’ “Eye on Education” reports. While there at CBS News, Paula has covered numerous news including the Republican National Conventions (’04 and ’16) and the Democratic (’04), and New Hampshire Primaries. She also covered the Royal Wedding in London, England where CBS stations selected her to represent the station.
In addition, she has also interviewed prominent leaders and politicians such as the Canonization of the Popes in Rome, First Lady Michelle Obama at the White House, and the three-city visit of Pope Francis to the United States. Ebben also co-anchored several Championship Parades for the Boston Bruins, New England Patriots, and Boston Celtics. Besides this, she has also received multiple awards including regional RTNDA Edward R. Murrow Award in 2015 and 2013 Peabody Award.
In 2014, Paula was honored with the Columbia DuPont Award for her coverage of the Boston Marathon Bombings. Moreover, Ebben has been nominated for numerous Boston Emmy Awards for Reporter, Writing, Education Series, and Consumer Reporter.
Prior to joining the station in December 2002, she worked for New England Cable News as a reporter and anchor. Paula began her broadcasting career as a reporter and anchor at WGMC-TV in Worcester from November 2001 to June 2002. Apart from working as a journalist, she also works with various non-profit organizations such as Boston’s foremost agency and the Bridge Over Troubled Waters.
