Paxton Boyd is an American journalist working for ABC 36 as an evening anchor since joining the station in June 2022. Previously, he worked for T&R Productions in Washington, District of Columbia as a news correspondent.

Boyd joined Western Kentucky University in 2006 when he finished his high school education. In 2011, he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism with a Psychology minor. During college, he interned at WTVF, wrote sports at Bleacher Report, and was a sports anchor and reporter at NewsChannel12.

During his time in Washington, Boyd broadcasted some of the influential stories in the nation and focused on international politics and foreign policy. He spent a week in Ottawa broadcasting the Trucker Convoy Protests in Canada.
Boyd worked in Miami at NBC 6 as a news reporter before moving to D.C. He was a news and sports anchor and reporter in West Palm Beach at WPEC and WPTV, Mobile at WPMI Local15, Yuma at KSWT, and Hazard at WYMT.
