Kmitt attended American University in Washington, D.C. in 2016 after completing her high school studies. When she finished her studies in 2020, she became a graduate and attained a Bachelor Of Arts degree in Broadcasting Journalism and American Studies. For 6 months, she lived in Copenhagen, Denmark where she studied Mass Communications and Social Media.

While in Amarillo, she broadcasted breaking news adn substituted on the anchor desk. Further, she closely worked with law enforcement during a string of drive-by shootings and researched long-term side effects of COVID-19 like hair loss and high blood pressure.
Also, she did a 3-part series on the premiere of Amarillo’s initial luxury boutique hotel. Before the news, she worked in sports as a digital producer and writer for NBC Sports Washington. Prior to working as a freelance employee, she served the station as an intern.
Next, she went on to work for The Patriot League Network and American University as a sideline reporter and on-air talent. While there, she broadcasted men’s and women’s division I basketball. During her time in Washington, D.C., she broadcasted the city’s newly passed marijuana laws and regulations.
Also, she assisted to develop social media strategies for an upcoming museum, The National Museum of the American People. Kmitt interned at NBC Universal at Bravo in New York City during the summer. While there, she learned about the podcasting industry.
Also, she wrote interview questions for The Real Housewives members and edited Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live podcast. During her free time, she loves to spend time in the community hearing people’s stories. Also, she loves to volunteer with local women’s shelters.
Previously, she helped at Amarillo’s Downtown Women’s Center, which helps women who overcame addiction get jobs, and build a different life for themselves. Also, she enjoys a good Sunday brunch, walking along the water, adn trying new places to eat.
