Rachel Acenas Career

Acenas graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in Communications. After graduating from college, Acenas worked behind the scenes at KNBC and KTTV in Los Angeles. She later found her place in front of the camera as a reporter for the local station in Santa Barbara, California, where she covered many different stories, including several of the largest wildfires in California. Acenas as well became the host of the City’s hour-long news magazine show called Inside Santa Barbara.

Acenas eventually returned to her hometown of San Diego, where she currently works at OAN’s headquarters doing everything from anchoring, reporting, and writing. Highlights of her career include anchoring special coverage of the historic Singapore Summit and covering the release of the Mueller Report. Acenas is most proud of launching OAN’s highly-popular original series, Week in Review. She has been recognized with Excellence in Journalism awards for her Week in Review, Year in Review, and other pieces of work for OAN.

Besides OAN, she enjoys working as a voiceover artist. Acenas narrated an online educational children’s book which is currently being used as part of the everyday curriculum in elementary schools across the country. In her leisure time, she likes giving back to the community, volunteering in a school, spending time with her family, traveling, shopping, & working on her fashion blog.
