Rachel Duensing is an American meteorologist working for WNCN CBS 17 as a meteorologist whose forecasts appear every evening at 7 p.m. She joined the station in June 2021. Previously, he served WBBH-WZVN in Fort Myers, Florida as a weekend evening meteorologist for 3 years.

Duensing attended Valparaiso University in 2010 after completing her high school education. She graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology and Digital Media. During her time in college, she served as a member of the Valparaiso University Storm Intercept Team. She, alongside professors and classmates, chased tornadoes and acute weather across the Great Plains and Midwest.

While there, she discovered her love for the complexity of tropical systems.

Before Fort Myers, she worked for WSIL in Carterville, Illinois for almost three years as the weekend morning meteorologist. During her time there, she earned a promotion to work as a weekday morning meteorologist. Further, she forecasted intense cold, record-breaking heat, ice storms, and acute weather like an EF4 tornado.

Twice, Duensing qualified for Best Weathercaster by the Illinois Broadcasters Association. At the age of 10, she learned about the weather in science class and witnessed a tornado outbreak outside her town. Following the events, she took it as a sign and has loved the weather ever since.
