Rachel Libert is an American journalist working for WROC as a sports reporter and anchor since joining the station in September 2024. Previously, she worked as a sports anchor for Mountaineer Playbook.

Libert joined West Virginia University in 2020 after her studies at Niles McKinley High School. In 2024, she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Sports and Adventure Media, emphasizing Sports. During her time in college, she spearheaded the sports section of the student newspaper, The Daily Athenaeum. She started her stint at The Daily Athenaeum as a staff writer and was later promoted to sports editor.
Libert worked as an intern with the WVU Football team, where she created video and podcast content of players and coaches. Moreover, she was a regional Emmy finalist for her time anchoring on Mountaineer Playbook, a show that covered everything WVU sports. She also wrote the sports section for Blue Gold Sports. She was a game day host intern for the West Virginia Black Bears.

While growing up in Northeast Ohio, she found her love for watching and playing sports during her childhood.
