Prior to Atlanta, she worked in Cleveland, Ohio at WKYC as an investigative reporter for 2 years. While there, she won a Regional Edward R. Murrow Award (Region 7) for Podcast in 2022 and an Emmy Award (Lower Great Lakes) for Journalistic Enterprise in 2021.
Polansky worked in Fort Myers, Florida at WBBH as an investigative reporter for nearly 4 years. During her time in Florida, she did an investigation into mental illness and homelessness. These stories earned her a regional Edward R. Murrow Award in 2017. She also exposed FEMA fraud after Hurricane Irma. This won her two regional Edward R. Murrow Awards in 2018.
