Radha Blank is an American filmmaker and actress who is best known for starring, producing, writing, and directing the film The 40-Year-Old Version.

She started her acting career as an actress when she got an opportunity to play the role of Loquesha in the movie named Mixing Nia back in the year 1998. In the year 2004, she worked as a writer in the television series named The Backyardigans.

Her directing debut had come in the year 2015 when she directed the television movie named Sam Bowe: Speech Writer. Talking about her production debut, it came just a year back in 2019 when Radha produced the very popular television series called She’s Gotta Have It.

In 2020, she won the U.S. Dramatic Competition Directing Award at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival for The 40-Year-Old Version. The film is loosely based on her experiences as a playwright in New York and was picked up for release by Netflix.

Her TV writing work includes Empire (FOX), The Get Down (Netflix), and She’s Gotta Have It (Netflix), where she has worked as Producer/Writer for two seasons. Blank co-wrote the screen adaptation of Walter Dean Myers best-selling novel Monster. Currently, Blank is writing the feature film script for Malcolm Lee’s latest Universal Pictures comedy “Real Talk”.
