Ralph Wood is an American Director/Anchor working with KMPH-TV/FOX 26 News where he serves the station as a Sports Director and Nightly Sports Anchor for FOX 26 Ten O’Clock News. He kick-started his television career working with the NBC affiliate station in Reno where he was serving the station as a general assignment reporter, news, and sports anchor.

Wood works with Fox 26 News where he serves the station as a Sports Director/Nightly News Anchor. Asides from this, he joins FOX 42 serving as the longest-running television sportscaster in the history of the Fresno television market. He is a proud graduate of the University of Southern California where she obtained a degree in broadcast journalism.

Prior to KMPH, he was working with KJEO-TV, a CBS affiliate station located in Fresno where he serves the station as a weekend sports anchor/reporter. While he was covering a news story for KJEO in the year 1985, he was offered the role of a reporter in the CBS network mini-series, “Fresno,” starring Dabney Coleman, Charles Grodin, Teri Garr, and Carol Burnett. This mini-series aired in November of the year 1986.

Later on, after serving the station as the television play-by-play announcer for Fresno State Football and basketball for about 15 years, he is now working as the sideline reporter for Bulldog football broadcasts on ESPN at 940 AM.

There, he was privileged to cover Fresno State football at the Las Vegas Bowl, Kickoff Classic in Anaheim, the Humanitarian Bowl and Freedom Bowl in Boise, and the Aloha and Hawaii Bowls in Honolulu. This was in addition to covering Fresno State’s five appearances in the California Bowl.

Asides from that, he has also been there for the Fresno State Basketball team’s trip to the NIT in New York and for the Bulldog’s appearances in post-season conference tournaments, along with the NCAA tournament. He was raised in the Los Angeles Harbor community of San Pedro, California.
