While there, Regina covered major national headlines including the SCOTUS overturning Roe v. Wade, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the Surfside condo collapse, and the search for Gabby Petito. She served the station for two years from February 2021 to August 2022.
Earlier, Gonzalez worked as a weekend anchor and multimedia journalist at WVNS 59 News in Beckley, West Virginia. In her role, she was responsible for maintaining relationships with sources in nine local counties and writing web stories. Prior to moving to Beckley, Regina worked in Valencia, Spain as a multimedia journalist at IEI Media. During her tenure there, she was in charge of editing two mini-documentaries and creating multimedia packages for a Spanish culture blog.
Regina began her career as a general assignment reporter at WTVT News in Tampa, Florida. She served the station for five months from January 2017 to May 2017. Previously, she served as a media relations intern at Brooklyn Cyclones in MCU Park, Brooklyn. Gonzalez served the station for three months where she updated social media accounts and helped in gathering news. In addition, she also worked for Ther Minaret as a sports editor from August 2015 to May 2016.
