Reina Garcia is an American director working at Local 5 News where she serves as the sports director. She joined Local 5 News in March 2022, after previously working at KSNF where she served as a sports reporter and anchor.  

In 2014, Garcia joined Coffeyville Community College where she earned an Associate of Arts in mass communication and media studies in 2016. She also attended Jackson State University where studied mass communication and media studies. In addition, Reina also studied broadcast journalism at Kansas State University and graduated in 2018.

Garcia works at Local 5 News where she serves as a sports director. Prior to joining Local 5 News, she worked at KSNF in Joplin, Missouri where she serves as a sports reporter and weekend sports anchor for two years. Topeka, Kansas is her native home and while she was there, she worked at KSNT News as a news multimedia journalist for two years.

While she was at Coffeyville Community College, she played volleyball and was on the cheer team in addition to playing volleyball for a semester at Jackson State before transferring to Kansas State University. For as long as she can remember, she has always been passionate about sports and she enjoys telling stories of local coaches, athletes, and fans.

Furthermore, during her leisure time, she enjoys watching sports, listening to podcasts, shopping, spending time with her dog Molly, going to concerts, and spending time with her family.
