Rick Aaron Biography

Rick Aaron is an American five-time Emmy Award-Winning anchor and reporter currently working at ABC 4 where he serves as the anchor and reporter of the 5 and 10 pm newscast. Previously, he worked at KTTV Fox 11 in Los Angeles as a Director.

Aaron works at ABC 4 where he serves as the weekend anchor and reporter at 5 and 10 pm. He has experience of more than two decades in television news as a reporter, producer, and anchor. He later started working at KTTV Fox 11 in Los Angeles. There he worked as a sports producer and won five Emmy Awards for his work on Fox 11 News at Ten, and two Golden Mic Awards for his work on Fox 11 Overtime. He as well won an Associated Press Award for his work on Fox 11 Extra Innings.

He started his on-air job at  KNDU NBC 25 in Tri-Cities, Washington as a Sports Reporter and Anchor in 2003. Aaron was upgraded to Sports Director at KNDO NBC 23 in Yakima, Washington a year later. In less than a year in Yakima, he was taken on by a station in Salt Lake City. There he worked as a Sports Director for seven years and a half. Aaron has been awarded many times with UBEE Awards by the Utah Broadcasters Association. In 2010, he was named the Utah Sportscaster of the Year by the National Association of Sportswriters and Sportscasters.

Utah radio listeners are familiar with Aaron’s voice since his time as a host on 1320 KFAN and 1280 The Zone and his often appearances on Kall 700. Many times he has hosted the Utah High School Heisman Award Ceremony. He as well for eight years down the line emceed Intermountain Donor Services’ ”Dash For Donation”. Aaron has appeared in charity for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, ARUP Blood Services, and the American Red Cross. When coming to his education, he is a proud graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies.
