Rob Haswell Biography

Rob Haswell is a Canadian-born, AMS Certified Broadcast Meteorologist who holds the National Weather Association Seal of Approval. Haswell is serving as the chief meteorologist at FOX 6 Milwaukee since January 2005.

After Haswell was done with his high school education, he enrolled at Ryerson University to pursue his childhood career in 1990, studied, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in radio and television arts in 1993. In 1999 Rob later furthered his studies six years after graduating from Ryerson University at USDA then graduated in 2005 with his certificate of meteorology in hand.

Prior to his current position as the chief meteorologist at FOX 6, he worked as a broadcast meteorologist at WROC-TV in New York. Haswell first started his broadcasting career in radio, working as a radio presenter at Corus Entertainment then he moved to television and his first kick at it was on Good Morning Toronto.

He then joined Wake Up Rochester in Rochester NY by following his dream and desire to live and work in the United States of America. He stayed for three years in “Bills Country” the later moved to “Packers-Town. Unbelievably Rob tried to shine as a comedian, he studied the art of improvisation at Toronto’s Second City Theatre with teachers like SCTV’s Joe Flaherty.

Rob’s excellent work has not gone unnoticed for he is an AMS Certified Broadcast Meteorologist and holds the National Weather Association Seal of Approval and also the endorsement of the Canadian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society.
