Rod Fowler is an American journalist who has been working for KLKN as an anchor since joining the station in 1995. He has served the station for over 2 decades. Previously, he worked for WOI TV Des Moines as a news anchor for 6 years.

Fowler joined Iowa State University in Ames in 1985 when he finished his studies at South Tama High School. In 1989, he graduated with a Bachelor Of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communications. While in college, he served WOI part-time and was a DJ on a rock and roll radio station.

Fowler worked as president of the Cornhusker Kiwanis organization for two terms. He also helps collect money during the year for local charities. Further, he serves as a volunteer food deliverer for the Lincoln Food Bank’s Backpack Program.
