Ron Gant Biography
Ron Gant is an American news anchor and former Atlanta Braves All-Star player. He co-anchors Good Day Atlanta at 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. on weekdays. He is also a co-host on WAGA-TV’s morning news program Good Day Atlanta.

Gant joined Fox 5 on October 25, 2012, and became a news anchor for the Atlanta Fox-owned-and-operated station WAGA-TV. Prior to joining Fox 5, Gant served as an analyst on FOX Sports South for the Atlanta Braves for the past four years.
Earlier in his career, Gant was a studio analyst for the MLB Network for “Hot Stove” and “MLB Tonight.” Prior to that, Gant served as a commentator for the Atlanta Braves on TBS. In high school, Gant played football and baseball. Gant was recruited heavily to play college baseball for such schools as Oklahoma and Texas but turned down scholarship offers to go pro after high school.
