Ron Snyder is an American Sports Anchor and Reporter working for WNEP-TV 16 serving as a sports director. He joined the station in April 2022, after previously working as a sports director at KADN-TV in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Ron Snyder Education

Snyder attended Nordonia High School where worked as a morning announcement until he graduated in 2004. He then enrolled at Syracuse University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism and Marketing in 2008. While there, Ron worked for the largest student-run television station at CitrusTV as a sports anchor and reporter.

Prior to working as a sports director, he served as a customer service specialist at the City of Tallahassee in Tallahassee, Florida. While there, Snyder was in charge of analyzing, and modifying 40-120 customer’s utility bills and promoting energy audits. He also delivered first-line customer service and exercised patience.

Previously, Snyder served as a sports reporter and anchor at WTXL ABC27 in Tallahassee, Florida. At WTXL-TV, he was responsible for editing, anchoring, and developing rapport with coaches and players from Florida A&M. Ron served the station from December 2014 to September 2016 where he conducted shot interviews. Initially, Snyder worked for KNOE-TV8 as a sports anchor and reporter from November 2012 to November 2014. He also anchored and edited sportscasts per week using ENPS and Adobe Premiere.

Before working for KNOE-TV8, Ron served as a sports video journalist at YNN in Buffalo, New York. He served the station from September 2010 to September 2011 where he covered the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bills. He also conducted research, anchored, and edited videos, and wrote daily news. Prior to working at YNN Buffalo, Snyder served as a sports anchor and reporter at KTXS, the ABC affiliate in Abilene, Texas. While there, he was in charge of various roles such as producing, writing, and anchoring.

He started his career at WNBC, the NBC Universal affiliate working as a sports intern. Snyder also co-produced sportscasts at 5, 6 pm, and 11 pm newscasts and conducted interviews with players such as Yankees. Previously, Ron worked as a sports intern at WEWS-TV from May 2006 to August 2006. While there, he conducted interviews with team players such as Browns players Indians, and Cavaliers.
