Rosemary Orozco is an American Emmy Award-Winning Meteorologist and News Personality working for KTVU as the Weekend Morning Meteorologist. She has been working for the station since January 2011.

Orozco finished high school and had her mind on Law so she went to study to become a Paralegal. As much as the law was interesting, that was not where her heart was she wanted something more artistic and thrilling. Orozco started acting and modeling while she was still in college.

She however had an interest in the news so she dropped law and went back to school to study Broadcast Journalism at San Francisco State University and later graduated in 1998. The career choice was exciting for her. A while later she went to further her studies at Mississippi State University and later graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Atmospheric Science and Meteorology.

Orozco is the Weekend Morning Meteorologist for KTVU. Orozco’s career path has entailed positions as a TV traffic reporter, California Lottery announcer, and TV show host. She served as a meteorologist for FOX 40 in Sacramento, she also worked as a host and anchor for news and entertainment that was aired on weekdays in the morning.

She is currently working as a meteorologist at KTVU and she is thrilled to be part of the team. Rose says that there is never a dull moment she could be at the front lines of a major wildfire one day, reporting on a major sporting event the next day, and meeting the President of the United States the next. She was honored when she received an Emmy for “Breaking News” coverage.
