Roslyn Giles is an American journalist working for WTVM as a weeknight news anchor and investigative reporter at News Leader 9 and WXTX FOX 54. She joined the station in August 2009 as a reporter and has served the station for more than a decade.

Giles joined the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg when she finished her high school education. She later graduated with a Bachelor Of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism along with an English minor. During college, she partook in the school’s studies program at the University of The West Indies in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.

Giles works for WTVM as a weeknight news anchor and investigative reporter at News Leader 9 and WXTX FOX 54. Upon joining the station, she first worked as a reporter before she was promoted to a weekend anchoring role. In August 2016, she was promoted to the 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. anchor.
In 2023, she started also anchoring the brand-new 7:30 p.m. newscast on WTVM and joined the WTVM Investigates team. While at WTVM, she won the Georgia Marshal Network Outstanding Media Award for her reporting work in 2014. The Georgia Association of Broadcasters awarded for Best Pandemic Coverage in 2021.
Giles started her career in the early 90s when she served WXVT 15 as a reporter, anchor, and host of a public affairs show. In 1996, Giles moved to Columbus, Georgia where she served as the Opelika bureau chief reporter at the CBS affiliate, WRBL-TV 3. While there, she won an Associated Press Best Coverage Award during the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. She reporter and anchored for 9 years before she delved into the real estate business.
During her career, Giles has broadcasted multiple big stories including the Democratic Presidential Debate at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta in 2019 and Governor Brian Kemp’s re-election triumph. She also interviewed figures like GMA’s Michael Strahan, Shaquille O’Neal, MC Hammer, Gladys Knight, Fort Moore’s Former Commanding General Gary Brito, and hosts of Couples Court with the Cutlers.
Briefly, Giles stayed away from TV but she returned three years later freelancing as a reporter at WRBL-TV 3 in Columbus, Georgia. She is passionate about public speaking, informing people, reading, and shopping.
Away from the newsroom, Giles is active in the community. She has worked on many boards including the Media Advisory Board for Shaw High School’s Mass Communication unit and Safe Kids of Columbus. She is also a sought-after public speaker and MC for community occasions.
