Ryan Carnes is an American actor best known for playing the adult Lucas Jones on the ABC soap opera General Hospital and in the 2019 American action film Acceleration. He attended Duke University and was a member of the Duke Marching Band. Carnes was part of a national Nintendo campaign in 2003.

Carnes made his acting debut in 2004 when he was cast as Lucas Jones on the ABC soap opera General Hospital from July 2004 to September 2005. Ben Hogestyn took his place after he left General Hospital. Carnes appeared on Desperate Housewives as Justin, the love interest of Andrew Van de Kamp, played by Shawn Pyfrom, from 2004 to 2006. He appeared in the films Eating Out (2004) and Surf School (2006).
He also appeared in the music video for Australian actress and singer Stephanie McIntosh’s song “Mistake.” On December 11, 2013, it was announced that Carnes would return to General Hospital as Lucas on January 17, 2014. He then returned for brief periods in 2017 and as a recurring character from 2018 onwards. Carnes appeared in two episodes of the British science-fiction drama series Doctor Who, “Daleks in Manhattan” and “Evolution of the Daleks,” as Laszlo, a half-human, half-pig slave. Carnes played an arrogant teenager named Alex in the 2008 horror film Trailer Park of Terror, based on the Imperium comic series of the same name. He also starred as the title character in the Syfy miniseries The Phantom, based on Lee Falk’s comic strip of the same name.
