Samantha Bee Education
Samantha attended Humberside Collegiate Institute and York Memorial Collegiate Institute. Bee joined McGill University to study humanities and later transfered to the University of Ottawa after her first year. While at the university she signed up for a theatre class, where she discovered her love of performing and later enrolled in the George Brown Theatre School in Toronto.

Samantha was a struggling actress during her early stages in her career, she made money as a waitress. At the age of 26 she toured with Sailor Moon, a stage production, where she played the role of titular.
Bee co-founded ‘The Atomic Fireballs’, a sketch comedy troupe which consisted of women only. The group would try to perform as many of each other’s ideas as they could as a way of demonstrating mutual support.
Samantha had her first starring role in a feature film in 2004 with the Canadian independent film Ham & Cheese, co-written by her husband Jason Jones and starring. She won a Canadian Comedy Award for “Pretty Funny Female Performance” for her role.
Samantha finished as the highest scoring celebrity in the CBC game show ‘Test The Nation’ on 20th January 2008. She appeared as herself on the “Madame President” episode of The Electric Company. Bee also did a guest voice role of a talk show hostess named Pam in the Season 2 finale of Bob’s Burgers, in addition to providing the voice for Lyla Lolliberry for two episodes in Season 4 of Phineas and Ferb.
Samantha Bee The Daily Show
Samantha joined ‘The Daily Show with Jon Stewart’ on 10th July 2003 as a correspondent. She was the only female correspondent on The Daily Show until in March 2008 when Kristen Schaal joined the show. She was also the first non-US citizen correspondent.
Samantha became the longest-serving regular Daily Show correspondent in 2011 after passing Stephen Colbert’s record. In the same year she joined her longtime friend Allana Harkin on the parenting blog “Eating Over the Sink” for the online magazine Babble.
In March 2015, after 12 years, it was announced that she was leaving The Daily Show. She departed The Daily Show on April 30, 2015.
Full Frontal with Samantha Bee/ Cancelled
Full Frontal with Samantha Bee hosted “Not the White House Correspondents’ Dinner” which aired on TBS
On 8th February 2016 Samantha began hosting her own satirical show ‘Full Frontal with Samantha Bee’ on TBS. Bee became the first woman to host a late-night satire show. The first season earned her critical acclaim and was renewed for a second season.
A year into Full Frontal she was named by Time magazine as one of the 100 most influential people in the world. On 29th April 2017 the Full Frontal with Samantha Bee hosted “Not the White House Correspondents’ Dinner” which aired on TBS.
Full Frontal with Samantha Bee was renewed for a third and fourth season in January 2018 set to air through 2020. Bee’s deal with Turner runs through 2022.
After seven seasons Full Frontal was cancelled, the decision was said by TBS to be very hard, the show was cancelled due to Low Ratings, Stale Politics and No Karaoke.
