Samira Nasr is a Canadian-American working as the Editor-in-Chief of Harper’s Bazaar and fashion stylist. She was previously the fashion director of Vanity Fair and oversaw fashion at Elle, a Hearst publication, and InStyle.

Samira is a fashion industry influencer, serving as the Fashion Director at Vanity Fair as well as positions at Elle and InStyle. She also interned at Vogue early in her career before becoming editor Grace Coddington’s assistant. Samira has worked on a variety of fashion campaigns for various brands, including Tiffany & Co., Tory Burch, and Laura Mercier, according to the New York Times. Samira moved from Montreal to New York in the 1990s to attend NYU and remains a New Yorker to this day.

Samir joined Vanity Fair as executive fashion director in May 2018. Her appointment came after Vanity fired its previous fashion director, Michael Carl, and creative director Jessica Diehl stepped down. Samira took on the role of executive director, combining aspects of Carl’s and Jessica’s roles.
