Sarah Grimmer is an American Multimedia Journalist/Anchor/Reporter working with WXYZ News where she serves the station as a Reporter since July 2022. Prior to this, she was working with FOX 47 News where she was serving the station as a Senior Multimedia Journalist between April 2021 and July 2022.

Grimmer works with WXYZ News in Detroit, Michigan, the United States where she serves the station as a Reporter since July 2022. The Metro Detroit native is proud to be reporting in Detroit, Michigan, the United States. She was raised watching the local news at breakfast every morning. She states that she supposes somewhere between the lucky charms and orange juice and that she consumed the drive to tell Michigan stories herself.

Additionally, she also states that she is lucky to spend her career doing just that. Her news journey kick-started working behind the scenes by helping the WDIV special division in Detroit, Michigan. Later on, she ventured north and joined 9&10 News out of Cadillac, Michigan. In her two and a half years there, she hosted Michigan This Morning’s “On The Road” lifestyle segments. For her, these were some of her most adventurous and fun years.

Later on, after 9&10 News, she went on t join FOX17 News out of Grand Rapids, Michigan. There, she was made the weekend morning anchor and weekday reporter. For her, being Ble to deliver the news to West Michigan every morning was a great privilege. This is what led to her working for FOX 47 News.

She is now proud to be working with WXYZ News in Detroit, Michigan. Her goal when in Lansing was to go beyond surface-level reporting. She states that she wanted to dive deep into her stories, the issues discussed at the dinner table, and the issues one feels people are not talking about enough.
