Sarah Jacobsen is an American Anchor and Meteorologist working for KBOI-TV as a weekday morning co-anchor at 5-8 a.m. alongside Ashley Carter. She also serves as a meteorologist and anchor at FOX 9 in Boise, Idaho. Previously, she worked for the Idaho Public Radio as a news reporter and intern.

Jacobsen attended Garwood Elementary in Rathdrum and then enrolled at Lakeland Senior High School in 2007 where she graduated in 2011 with a diploma. After high school, she joined Idaho University where she attained a Bachelor of Science in Digital Media and Broadcasting. Sarah also received a minor in Business and Economics and while there she worked for the campus station where she served as a reporter.
On top of this, she also worked for Moscow News serving as a reporter and host. In 2019, Jacobsen went on to further her studies at Mississippi State University where she obtained a Certificate in Meteorology and Broadcast in 2022.

Jacobsen works as a meteorologist and weekday morning co-anchor at 5-8 a.m. alongside Ashley Carter on KBOI-TV and FOX 9. She joined the station in April 2016 working as an evening anchor, executive producer, and fill-in weather. As an executive producer, he was in charge of writing stories, stacking, and editing videos. One year later, she landed a role as a weekend anchor, reporter, and weather anchor from September 2017 and February 2022.
Before joining KBOI-TV, Sarah worked for the Idaho Public Radio where she served as a news reporter and intern. She was also responsible for creating stories, writing, and gathering information. Jacobsen served the station for four months from May 2015 to August 2015. Sarah began her career at Inside the Vandals serving Multimedia sports journalist from September 2012 to August 2015. During her tenure there, she created a weekly half-hour show and reported sports events.
Apart from working as a journalist, Jacobsen worked as a sales intern at Sysco from June 2013 to August 2013. Her roles at the station were resolving competitive pricing data, helping in sales, and conducting market research. Previously, Sarah spent one year and four months working for SL Start as a developmental therapist. Besides this, she also worked as a hostess and server at Coeur d’Alene Resort in Idaho. She worked there for one year and four months from May 2011 to August 2012.
In addition to this, Sarah is also involved in various organizations such as the University of Idaho’s Panhellenic Association where she served as a president. She also worked as an executive board at the sorority Kappa Kappa Gamma. Other organizations she has been associated with include Inside the Vandals and the University of Idaho Homecoming Committee.
