Sarah Lighthiser is an American Meteorologist working for KHQA-TV serving as a weekend meteorologist, MMJ, and weekday reporter. Previously, she served as a lead counselor at Carol Stream Park District.

Ligthiser attended West Chicago Community High School in 2015 where she finished with a diploma in 2019. While there, she was an active member of various clubs such as Thespian Honor Society, Concert Band, Theater Club, and Marching Band. After high school, Sarah enrolled at Northern Illinois University where she earned a certificate in geographical information systems and a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology in 2023. She was also a member of Alpha Phi Omega, Bowling League, and NIU American Meteorological Society.

Lighthiser works as a weekend meteorologist, MMJ, and weekday reporter at KHQA in Quincy, Illinois. During her time at KHQA, she is in charge of anchoring four shows on the weekends on Saturdays at 6 pm and 10 pm and Sundays at 5 pm and 10 pm. Sarah also fill-in as an evening and morning meteorologist and produces VOSOTs for the station. She has been with the station for more than ten months since she joined in June 2023.
Apart from working as a journalist, Sarah worked as an assistant site coordinator at Carol Stream Park District. During her tenure there, she worked together with children from December 2021 to May 2023. While still working as an assistant, she also secured a position as a summer camp counselor working there from May 2019 to June 2023.
In addition to this, Lighthiser also served as a lead counselor at Carol Stream Park District. She served the station for two months from May 2023 to June 2023 where she managed a field trip to Lincoln Park Zoo. Besides this, Lighthiser was also involved in various charitable organizations such as NIU Steam, Anderson Market Garden NIU, 13 WREX, and the National Weather Service.
