Sarah Minkewicz is a well-known Western New York native, Emmy nominee, and Multimedia Journalist working for WIVB. She joined WIVB in July 2019. Because of her exemplarity in her work, she has been awarded various awards and honors like; in May 2015, she was awarded SUNY Who’s Who Award for Student Excellence. She was a Finalist for the 2015 SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence in May 2015. In May 2017, she won second place for Best Multimedia Story issued by Syracuse Press Club.

From February 2016 to July 2016, she was a Reporter at Blank Slate Media. And then she was a freelance reporter for Orchard Park & East Aurora Sun for six months from September 2015 to January 2016. From July 2015 to September 2015, she was a Development Intern at Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens. Sarah then worked as a News Editor for The Record, SUNY Buffalo State’s student-run newspaper from January 2013 to May 2015. Prior to that, she was a News Intern at Time Warner Cable News from September 2014 to December 2014. Also, she was a News Intern at WIVB/WNLO (LIN TV Corp) from August 2014 to December 2014. When she is not working, she likes spending time with her family, running around Delaware Park, or indulging in a good book.
