Wallace traveled to the poppy fields of Colombia for a series on heroin on city streets to the Middle East. There she served as the first tri-state reporter to cover preparations for the first Gulf War. She was also the first tri-state television reporter to secure a one-on-one interview with Fotis Dulos, the estranged husband of missing Connecticut mom Jennifer Dulos, in July 2019. The interview gathered worldwide attention and was repeatedly cited by major broadcast networks, national print publications, and international news outlets.
Besides receiving 16 Emmy Awards for Journalistic excellence, Wallace holds the prestigious George Foster Peabody Award and two Edward R. Murrow Awards. She also earned two Robert Greene Awards for Investigative Journalism from the Long Island Fair Media Council. She began her broadcast career in radio in San Francisco, California, working as a news assistant at KNBR while still attending college.
