Sean McLaughlin is an American Emmy award-winning meteorologist working for CBS5/GMA. He has been working for the station since September 2006. 

Sean McLaughlin Career

McLaughlin serves as the anchor of the 10 pm newscast and was formerly the Chief Meteorologist at KPHO CBS 5 in Phoenix Arizona. He has also appeared in broadcast career highlights including a short stint at MSNBC where he served as the station’s main meteorologist. McLaughlin also made short stints at NBC where he was the Sunday weather anchor on “Weekend TODAY SHOW” in NYC. He also filled in for Al Roker on the “TODAY SHOW” and also made an appearance on NBC’s “Nightly News”, CNBC.

McLaughlin is known for working for two networks including the morning/evening shows often filling in on “The EARLY SHOW” and “CBS MORNINGS” from ’06-’12. McLaughlin has also managed to enclose several weather events and other major stories all across the states and beyond. He was inducted into the prestigious NATAS “Silver Circle” for 25 years of broadcast excellence.

He has also managed to win several awards ever since he started his journalism career. For instance, is s receiver of 11 Emmy Awards and a ton of other awards. McLaughlin was also approved by the National Weather Association and earned his Broadcast Seal of Approval. Whenever he is not working, he enjoys spending his free time with his family and friends.
