Selena Ramos Biography
Selena Ramos is an American meteorologist working for 13WHAM as a weekend meteorologist and reporter since joining the station in January 2025. Previously, she interned at the National Weather Service.
Selena Ramos Education
Ramos joined the University at Albany in August 2021 after finishing her high school education. In May 2025, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Atmospheric Science and a minor in Broadcast Meteorology. While in college, she played lacrosse and was the president of the women’s club team from 2023 to 2024. She then worked as a treasurer from 2024 to 2025. Moreover, she was the director of social affairs and the director of membership education at Phi Sigma Rho.
Ramos researched with the Coastal-Urban Environmental Research Group. In this capacity, she used surface data in Puerto Rico to help determine extreme heat events and presented it to the National Weather Service in Puerto Rico. Moreover, she went to the Northeastern Storm Conference and interned at the National Weather Service in Albany. Also, she was a broadcasting intern at WNYT in Albany and 13WHAM.

Ramos works for 13WHAM as a weekend meteorologist and reporter. In addition, she is involved in the women in STEM organization, where she is the director of international affairs. She enjoys every aspect of the weather and loves Rochester and what it has to offer. While growing up, she went snowboarding on Whiteface Mountain and loved playing in the snow. Snow interested her during her childhood and inspired her to pursue a career in meteorology.
