Shae Rozzi is an American award-winning investigative journalist working for FOX23. She co-anchors with Clay Loney at 5, 6, 9 & 10.
Shae Rozzi Career
Rozzi went to Tulsa from the Cox Media Group flagship station WSB-TV in Atlanta, Georgia, where she worked for 6 months as a General Assignment Reporter and Fill-in Anchor before being promoted to Main Evening Anchor in Tulsa.
Her first day on the job at FOX23 was an unusual one. Rozzi was in the office for no more than four hours before she accepted the assignment of traveling to Boston and reporting on the response to the explosions that occurred at the finish line of the Boston Marathon.
She is ready to jump on breaking news without skipping a beat. Rozzi spent the majority of her career at WTVD, the ABC-owned station, in Raleigh, North Carolina. During Rozzi’s nearly 12 years in the Triangle area, she worked as the Weekend Evening Anchor and focused on investigative reporting during the week.
Some of the biggest stories she covered include the political corruption trial of former presidential candidate John Edwards and the Duke Lacrosse case. When sports becomes news, she is ready to jump right in, covering the Carolina Hurricanes when they won the Stanley Cup, as well as covering the UNC Tar Heels and Duke Blue Devils when they became NCAA National Champions.
Rozzi has also covered devastating hurricanes along the North Carolina coast and deadly tornadoes in the Raleigh area with her stories airing on CNN and The Weather Channel. One of the most difficult stories for Rozzi was the massacre at Virginia Tech, her alma mater. She spent days covering the investigation and telling personal stories of students from North Carolina affected by the tragedy.
Rozzi began her television career at WLUC in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and went on to anchor and report at WSLS in Roanoke, Virginia, before working in North Carolina, Georgia, and now in Oklahoma. She has been the lead or main contributing reporter on Emmy award-winning newscasts and news specials. Rozzi has also been nominated individually for an Emmy for her work. On the 16th of July 2020, Rozzi she was disappeared from the newscast shortly after 5:30 p.m. Thursday night after she had a Heart Attack which began with mild symptoms at 4 p.m. Her jaw, throat, down the back of her neck, tightened, and also across her chest are all classic signs of a heart attack in women. An ambulance from EMSA OKLAHOMA paramedics rushed her to the hospital as aspirin and nitroglycerin were administered to her so as to open up her blood vessels.
