Shaun Chaiyabhat is an eminent American Emmy Award-winning anchor & reporter with over two decades of experience working for WCVB Channel 5 in Boston as an anchor/reporter. He has been working at the station since February 2016.

Prior to working at WCVB, he worked at WKMG News 6 as a reporter/fill-in anchor from August 2010 to February 2016.
There, he led 11 pm reporter/fill-in, anchor, consistently generated enterprise stories of local and national interest, and led station coverage of major breaking national news: Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman, Sandy Hook, Boston Marathon bombings, and Casey Anthony Acquittal. Also, he was a fill-in anchor for all newscasts. From 2006 to 2010, he worked as a reporter/fill-in anchor. Prior to that, he was a reporter/interim 9 pm anchor at WCIA-TV from 2004 to 2006. Shaun began his journalism career as a reporter at WICS-TV in 2000 in Springfield, Illinois, and left in 2004. When he is not working, he spends most of his free time with his family who live in New England, Maine, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.
