During his career that spans more than a decade, he has helped form broadcasts on national headliner stories in the Charleston market including the Walter Scott case, the Emanuel AME Church Shooting, and Hurricane Matthew. During his time in Charleston, he worked in nearly all roles in the newsroom starting as a production technician. Later, he was promoted to serve as a photojournalist, producer, assignment editor, and digital content manager.
As a photojournalist, he secured a scholarship from the South Carolina Broadcasters Association, in which he attended a week-long seminar for TV reporters at the Poynter Institute of Media Studies in St. Petersburg, Florida. Cabbagestalk has also worked as a freelance web editor for The Manning Times, where he gained print and multimedia skills.
Cabbagestalk worked in radio at WXST Star 99.7. While there, he familiarized himself with the workings of the radio business after he trained with Tessa Spencer-Adams. He loves to network, mentor, and serve opportunities.
