He held a variety of positions at WKBW-TV, including host of the Buffalo Bills Postgame Show and anchoring, reporting, writing, producing, shooting, and editing daily sportscasts.
Stepner’s career in sports broadcasting began at WHAG-TV in Hagerstown, Maryland, where he worked as the sports director. He joined the station in April 2004 and made his exit in December 2007. It was from this station that he acquired his first Edward R. Murrow Award. During his role as the sports director, he produced, anchored, and hosted daily sportscasts and a weekly 30-minute sports program.
