Shelby Cashman is an American Emmy Award-Winning anchor/reporter working at KOCO5 News where she serves as the weekday morning anchor. She has been working for the station since joining in October 2020.

Cashman serves as the weekday morning anchor alongside co-anchor Jason Hackett, morning meteorologist Jonathan Conder, and breaking news desk anchor Alejandra Briones. Prior to coming back home to Oklahoma,  She worked at KOCO’s sister station KOAT in Albuquerque, New Mexico as an evening anchor.

During her time there, Cashman was among the Emmy Award-winning team honored for their reports of President Trump’s 2019 rally in Rio Rancho. Cashman also brought extensive reports of issues along with the New Mexico and Mexico border and reported from El Paso, Texas, after the deadly mass shooting at Walmart.

Prior to anchoring Albuquerque, she was one of the morning team at KOKH in Oklahoma, City for three years. Cashman has a passion for her community and offers her time, as well as Big Brothers Big Sisters. In 2017, she was named Oklahoma Big Sister of the Year. Cashman is a proud graduate of The University of Michigan.

But she has adopted cream, black, orange, and crimson into her wardrobe. During her leisure, Cashman likes reading a good book, watching Friends re-runs, or spending endless hours playing fetch with her black lab Lily.
