Additionally, she broadcasted the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico and witnessed the 2012 capital punishment of a 35-year-old man sentenced for killing at the age of 18. Also, she broadcasted the February 2013 tornado that tore through the city.
Her journalism career began when she worked behind the scenes as a traffic producer in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for local radio stations. Moreover, she worked for WTVJ-NBC6 in Miramar in the production department.
