Somara Theodore is an American Emmy Award winner meteorologist working for NBC4 News in Washington, DC. She joined the station in 2016 and serves as a weekend meteorologist.

After graduating from high school and earning her Diploma in General Education, she had to further her education. She joined Penn State University to pursue her career course. After finishing her studies there, she graduated with a major in Meteorology and minors in Energy Business and Finance as well as Mandarin Chinese. After that, her career job began in Savannah, GA as a weekend meteorologist. From there, she moved to Cleveland, Ohio. During her working time there, she worked as the morning meteorologist on Good Morning Cleveland. While there, she covered a morning weathercast of a deadly plane crash in Akron and helped her to win an Emmy Award.
Apart from her journalism career, she enjoys being involved and active in the community helping out and reaching people in any way she can. During her leisure time, she likes eating roti, and ice skating. In addition to that, she an avid Instagrammer.
