Spencer Denton is an American Meteorologist working for WMC-TV serving as a weekday meteorologist at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Before joining WMC-TV in September 2014, he worked for WAAY-TV as a chief meteorologist.

He also worked as a morning and weekend meteorologist where he presented weather safety requirements for businesses and schools. Denton spent three years and two months working for the station from July 2011 to August 2014.
Before working for WAAY-TV, Spencer worked as a meteorologist at WHNT-TV in Tennessee from November 2005 to February 2010. While at WHNT-TV, he got the chance to operate the first on-air Dual Pol radar before it became the technology used by meteorologists to provide accurate data.
Prior to working for WHNT-TV, Spencer worked for WSMV-TV in Nashville as a fill-in meteorologist from May 2005 to November 2005. During his time at WSMV-TV, he covered every major weather event starting from big snow storms to tornado outbreaks. For his coverage of Hurricane Rita, Denton was awarded an Emmy Award. He began his professional career as a meteorologist at KAIT-TV in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He served the station for two years and one month working from June 2003 to June 2005.
