Poole began her career as a reporter on the student television show at Mississippi State University, Take30. She then served at Cumulus Broadcasting Media as a radio talent and remote assistant from 2018 to 2019. Poole went back to South Mississippi after spending almost four years as an anchor/reporter with WCBI-TV in Columbus, MS. During her tenure in the Golden Triangle, she reported on everything from breaking news to local feature stories in the community.
In 2019, she joined the WLOX News Now team. The same year she met with families affected by a devastating EF-3 tornado that ripped through the southside of Columbus. The storm’s aftermath left citizens homeless for several months. Poole rolled up her sleeves to follow community clean-up and recovery efforts led by area organizations in the Friendly City. She then traveled to Macon, MS for a rescue mission in 2022, following a severe storm leaving two women trapped under a collapsed building.
She also kept an eye on what was happening in MS classrooms. Poole visited several school districts in the Golden Triangle regarding COVID-19 restrictions, teacher shortages, and technology. She was then awarded Mississippi Association of Broadcasters Third Place Reporter for Small Market TV. Away from TV, she is dining on the Gulf Coast catch of the day seafood, either char-grilled oysters, crabs, or shrimp at her favorite restaurants. Poole also enjoys painting, working out, and playing a round of Uno with friends.
