Steve Atkinson is an American Emmy-Award Winning former anchor/reporter known for having worked at ABC10 News as a co-anchor of 10News at 5, 6, 7, and 11 p.m. He joined ABC 10 in May 2006 and departed in March 2022. After leaving ABC 10, he went to work for a Spectrum Science Company, “The Seismic Collaborative” as a Vice President of Executive Media Engagement for 7 months (March 2022 – September 2022). Atkinson has been serving Spectrum Science (a GHMC Company) as a Vice President of Executive Media Engagement, since September 2022.

Atkinson has served as the co-anchor of 10News at 5, 6, 7, and 11 p.m. alongside co-anchors Kimberly Hunt and Lindsey Peña. He started his journalism career in 1989 in Arkansas at KVUE-TV in Austin as well as WFAA-TV Dallas. He has also managed to win several awards ever since he started his journalism career.

For instance, he won the Edward R. Murrow Award for his reporting and several awards from the Texas and Arkansas Associated Press for Best Sports Reporter and Best Sportscaster. He also won the Regional Emmy Award as a television host.
