Steve Dolinsky is an American journalist working for NBC Chicago as a food reporter whose “Food Guy” reports appear on Thursday nights at 10 p.m. Additionally, he hosts and produces “Pizza City,” a podcast that features some of the most renowned pizza makers in the country. He joined the station in August 2021 after serving ABC 7 Chicago as a reporter for “Hungry Hound.”

Frequently, he contributed to Public Radio International’s “The World.”
When it comes to consultation, he began a food industry-concentrated media training company named Culinary Communications. His company incorporates chefs along with food and beverage professionals outside of Chicago who teach preparing for and handling every media exposure. Dolinsky also works with real estate companies to organize spaces for food and drink clients. Also, they manage and spearhead virtual pizza and/or cocktail encounters for firms.
Since 2009, Dolinsky has served as one of the 26 Academy Chairs for the World’s 50 Best Restaurants. In this capacity, he recruits and oversees 40 voters in the Mid-USA/Canada area. Before working for ABC 7, Steve worked as an executive producer and host of “Good Eating” on CLTV. For 8 years, he hosted and produced 52 shows per year and amassed six Beard Awards for his work there.

He started his “Pizza City U.S.A. Tours” in May 2018. He organizes 4 tours all over the city where he gives his guests a chance to try four styles of pizza in three hours. On weekends, they employ one bus tour generally spearheaded by him, and three walking tours.

Dolinskyauthored “Pizza City, U.S.A.: 101 Reasons Why Chicago is America’s Greatest Pizza Town.” For the book, he traveled to 185 places in Chicagoland for six consecutive months of eating. In the fall of 2021, he released his second book, “The Ultimate Chicago Pizza Guide: A History of Squares & Slices in the Windy City.”
Pizza City Fest
In January 2022, Dolinsky founded Pizza City Fest which occurs twice per year. During the fest, most renowned pizza talents from Chicago and Los Angeles come together for the appreciation of pizza. Also, there are samples, seminars, demos, classes, and demos.
