Steve Litz is an American political reporter working for NBC 6 South Florida since joining the station in October 2007. Having grown up in Miami Beach, he loves driving around his ‘hometown’ reporting on significant news events.

Prior to joining NBC 6, he spent about ten years covering politics, education, and general news for WSOC-TV in Charlotte, North Carolina. Other cities on his TV tour include two years in Dayton and a one-year stint in Akron and Ohio. Litz’s broadcasting career started in radio at WINZ-AM in Miami. He graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism. When he is not working, he likes to watch the news and spend as much time outside as possible.
