Susan Cort Biography
Susan Cort is an American journalist working for WHTM ABC 27 as a health reporter for Good Day PA since joining the station in December 2021. Since 2005, she has been the director of communications for JPL, a local marketing and communications agency.

Cort joined Ithaca College in 1982 after finishing her high school education. In 1986, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism and a History minor. While in college, she interned at the Canadian Broadcasting Company in London, the New Jersey Nightly News, and CNN in New York.

She devotes herself to community service and has been on numerous boards, including The Downtown Hershey Association, The Hershey Rotary Club, The Hershey Theatre, Children’s Miracle Network, and The Hershey Symphony Orchestra.
Cort was a founding member and longtime chair of Hershey Area Playhouse, a community theatre. She has helped spearhead Hershey All Things Diversity, a local diversity, equity, and inclusion group. From 2016 to 2021, she worked as a supervisor for Derry Township. The YWCA of Greater Harrisburg honored her with the Women of Excellence Award.
Cort also received the Women of Influence Award by the Central Penn Business Journal. Besides her work on TV, she is a vocalist with the Hershey Symphony Big Band and has performed in many community theatre productions.
