Taylor Stephenson is an American meteorologist working for WVEC 13 News Now as the midday and weekend morning meteorologist since joining the station in June 2023. Previously, she worked for 13WMAZ in Macon, Georgia as a weekend meteorologist for 2 years.
Taylor Stephenson Education
Stephenson joined the University of Oklahoma in August 2017 when she finished her high school education at Decatur High School. In May 2021, she graduated with a Bachelor Of Science degree in Meteorology with minors in Broadcast Meteorology and Mathematics. While in high school, she was involved with multimedia journalism, basketball, and theater.
During college, she was involved with the National Association of Black Journalists and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Further, she served the Cox Media Group in Atlanta, Georgia as a sports media intern and product and operations assistant.
Stephenson served the Weather Channel as a weather producer intern for three months. For a year, she was the president of internal affairs at the OU National Pan-Hellenic Council. She was a nightly staff at OU Nightly and a student media assistant for the OU School of Meteorology. Also, she worked as a senior weather producer at the Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication. Moreover, she was a Diversity Enrichment Programs Intern at the University of Oklahoma.
