Terry Bradshaw Biography
Terry Bradshaw (full name – Terry Paxton Bradshaw) is an American actor and former professional football player and TV Personality who is best known for hosting Fox NFL Sunday. He is also known for being a quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers in NFL – the National Football League.
Bradshaw has been a TV sports co-host and analyst of Fox NFL Sunday since the year 1994. He is also a recording artist who has released a bunch of country music albums. He has been part of a number of TV shows and movies. Bradshaw has won 4 Super Bowl titles in a 6-year period, played for 14 seasons with Pittsburgh, and was the 1st quarterback to win three and four Super Bowls.
He was responsible for leading the Steelers to eight AFC Central championships. In the year 1989, Bradshaw was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. In the year 1996, he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. Bradshaw is well-known for tough competing and having among the most powerful arms in the history of the National Football League (NFL).
In his career, he passed for over 300 yards in a game only 7 times. He also passed for 932 yards and 9 touchdowns in 4 career Super Bowl appearances. Bradshaw finished 261 passes for 3,833 yards in nineteen career postseason games. On July 24, 1984, he retired from football, and immediately signed a TV contract with CBS.
He began serving as an NFL game analyst in the year 1984 when he and Verne Lundquist (play-by-play announcer) had the top-rated shows. Before his full-time work for Bradshaw and Verne, he worked for CBS Sports’ NFC postseason broadcasts as a guest commentator for 2 years (1980-1982). In July 1997, he started working as a presenter.
Bradshaw won the Golden Plate Award from the American Academy of Achievement in the year 1970. He got inducted into the inaugural class of the Louisiana Tech sports hall of fame 14 years later (1984). In the year 1988, Bradshaw was inducted into the state of Louisiana’s sports hall of fame.

Bradshaw graduated from Woodlawn High School and then attended Louisiana Tech University in Ruston where he graduated in the year 1970. During his time in high school, he played football under A. L. Williams (assistant coach). He was also responsible for leading the Knights to the AAA state championship game in the year 1965. During his stint at the university, he was part of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity and was 2nd on the depth chart at quarterback behind Phil “Roxie” Robertson.
